Processing Stages

: Inside Radwaminta These steps can be summarized as follows 

1-    Reception: only approved suppliers by Quality Control Department are allowed to provide the raw materials to our company. Primary checking of raw material takes place immediately after reception by The Quality Control Department as descried in the quality control standard procedure, to decide whether materials are accepted or refused. The materials are labeled containing the lot number, recording the lot details (farm name and code,   

 entry date, and descriptions) in the stores' records.

 Also proof (farm bill) should be accompanying the raw material and kept in files.

2- Sun or machine drying: in case of fresh herbs, sun drying takes place under shade. The machine dry facilities are cleaned daily and kept out of any contamination; no operations on two different items are allowed to take place at the same time.

3- Processing unit should be cleaned according to cleaning and sanitation procedure before starting any processing activities.

4- sorting and grading is done manually sieving or by hands.

5- In case of seeds and TBC crushing or lemon grass cutting is done after checking machine's cleanliness and suitability.

6- All products are subjected to metal-detection test to ensure that they do not include any metals. Besides, a sample is taken and sent to the relevant lab to ensure that no contamination occurs during processing.

7- Packing, weighing, and labeling are performed manually.

8- Reference samples are collected by the Quality Control Department, for carrying out the quality tests, analysis activities as described at the quality control standard procedure. Part of these samples is kept as a reference sample at the company.

9- Final products are stored at the company final-product-stores till Quality Control Department clearness for shipping.

10-  All the preceding operations are filed and saved in the company records to facilitate the traceability process
